Job Description:
Director of Crisis Services (DCS) is a critical strategic leader for Solvista Health, and is responsible for oversight of all behavioral health crisis care delivered by the organization.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides administrative and clinical supervision of services related to 24/7 crisis response.
- Directs the day-to-day operations of the Crisis Services Program.
- Manages a team of supervisors and crisis clinicians who respond to client emergencies 24/7/365.
- Provides administrative management of system-wide quality assurance monitoring program.
- Promotes and supports the financial sustainability of crisis services programs and SolVista Health.
- Helps with grant applications/reports.
- Obtains and implements contracts that promote community collaboration.
- Identifies opportunities to develop other sources of revenue.
- Coordinates and acts as liaison between all parties involved program areas.
- Establishes, implements and evaluates policy, procedure and program content.
- Conducts quality assurance activities according to best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Participates in a variety of inter and intra-agency meetings, conferences and networks.
- Responsible for program development to strengthen co-responder and mobile crisis response.
- Responsible for taking after-hours Supervisor on-call rotation as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Possesses excellent clinical skills in assessment and crisis, lethality evaluations.
- Knowledge of program services, client needs and management techniques.
- Knowledge and awareness of state and federal requirements and codes governing treatment.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate key data to senior management, board or partners.
- Ability to lead in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels.
- Possesses personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to organization’s mission.
Education or Formal Training:
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or other mental/behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
- Professional licensure that is consistent with degree and experience (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in behavioral health, emergency/crisis services, or human services including management experience.

Working Environment:
This job operates in a fast-paced, professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. The position may require travel to conferences, meetings and branch locations on a regular or intermittent basis. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. In the health center environment, there is potential for contact with blood-borne pathogens and communicable diseases, as well as potential for contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals. There could be interaction with persons who are mentally ill, disabled, elderly and emotionally upset.

This is a largely sedentary role but can involve standing or sitting for extended periods of time, bending at the waist, and using hands and fingers to handle and file papers or operate assigned equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee may also have to lift 10 to 25 lbs. unassisted.
Conditions of Employment:
- Annual TB, federally required drug screening, and Influenza vaccination or compliance with policy and procedure.
- Required possession of a valid state driver's license.
- Successful candidate must submit to and pass, post-offer drug screen.
