Job Description:
Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center, is seeking a full time Dialysis Technician. This position is schedule to work 32 hours/ week and may include weekends. We are looking for a team member who is a CNA and ready to be trained. CCHT certification is preferred, but we will train the right canidate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
1. Performs patient care as assigned by the nurse. This may include the data collection of vital signs, daily weights, dietary intake, and output.
2. Accurate and timely document in the EHR data collected and/or care performed.
3. Collects patient vital signs. Initiates and discontinues non-complex dialysis treatments under the supervision of an RN
4. Adjusts blood flow and ultrafiltration rates according to the physician treatment plan.
5. Immediately, as available, address patient needs, and report any changes in patient condition to the nurse.
6. Assist patients with transfers within the unit and escorts patients out of the unit as needed.
7. Act as a behavioral health safety sitter within the hospital when appropriate and as per competency.
8. Assists nursing staff to keep unit disinfected, tidy and clutter-free
9. Obtains blood samples as delegated by RN.
Requirements
All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a negative drug screen test*, criminal background check, reference checks, infection prevention procedures, TB test, Flu Shot, immunization records, and acknowledgement of policies.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Certification as a clinical hemodialysis technician (CCHT) or certification within 6 months.
