Job Description

Chaffee County Human Services seeks applications for the full-time position of Child Care Navigator. Conducts duties associated with establishing eligibility for receipt of the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP).

  • Interprets rules and regulations, as statutorily promulgated, inputs applications, redeterminations and other documents received in State prescribed computer systems to determine and maintain eligibility for Child Care Assistance.
  • Facilitates and/or coordinates the processes and procedures necessary to provide clients and childcare providers with assistance to be successful.
  • Will be responsible for the recruitment, retention, certification and recertification of CCCAP providers.
  • Provide training and education to co-workers and outside agencies about CCCAP and becoming a child care provider.
  • Attend and actively participate in committee boards and activities involving childcare services in our community.
  • Expand childcare assistance in Chaffee County.

This position will be based out of the Chaffee Benefits Team Unit at the Chaffee County Department of Human Services.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent.

The annual salary range is $42,000 to $63,000, DOE; benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription and life insurances, disability insurance, retirement plan, paid leaves and holidays.
