Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $13.65-$15/hr. 

Location: Leadville, CO.

Job Description

The Desk Clerk works in the circulation department and assists patrons in several ways including, but not limited to, finding library materials, answering general inquires, and helping with public computer usage. The Desk Clerk also shelves books using the Dewey Decimal System and processes new books.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Carry out circulation tasks
  • Provide excellent services to patrons
  • Promote the Library’s mission and values
  • Process new materials
  • Assist patrons with computers and computer applications
  • Maintains library stacks by re-shelving materials and shelf-reading
  • Bilingual Staff: Bilingual staff will provide translations and interpretations as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree or higher preferred.
  • Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish.
