Job Description:

The Deputy Coroner performs a variety of duties related to the scene of a death, under varied circumstances. Training, continuing education and certification as a Certified Death Investigator with the Colorado Coroners Association is required. The employee must be able to work a flexible schedule, in an on call, rotating shift capacity, with work performed during the day, evening, weekend and holidays.

The current on call schedule is as follows: Every other weekend - Friday starting at 4:00 pm and ending Tuesday at 8:00 am plus every Wednesday starting at 4:00 pm and ending Thursday at 8:00 am. 

This is a full time non exempt, salaried position with a starting biweekly wage of $576.92, DOE. This position is eligible to accrue 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours.
