Job Description

The Chaffee County Department of Human Services is seeking a Lead Case Worker. The position of Lead Case worker is to support the Supervisor of Child Welfare in the daily operations of the child welfare team. Lead worker will give supervision, directions, decision-making, and consultation to other employees within their unit in the absence or at the direction of their supervisor. This includes prioritization of responses, assigning cases, monitoring decisions of new caseworkers to ensure good practice and procedures are being met, and provides consultation to other employees within the team and unit. Assists with training of new employees.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of Child Welfare experience. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in Social Services or mental health field.

Annual salary is $55,000 to $80,000 DOQ. benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurances, disability, retirement plan, paid leaves and holidays.
