Job Description

The Chaffee County Department of Human Services is seeking a School Core Services worker. Core Services Worker will support families and youth with navigating the school system and finding success with their education. The Core Services Worker will be part of the District's staff, assisting the Administrative Team to implement a system-wide approach for student challenges. The Core Services Worker will be expected to lead and manage communications between the County Department of Human Services and the school district. The Core Services Worker will work in direct collaboration with the School Resource Officer. The position will also provide intake and/or ongoing casework services for a variety of program areas such as child abuse and neglect cases and youth in conflict cases, as directed by the Department Human Services. They will also provide emergency on-call availability and response.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of Child Welfare experience or mental health counseling. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in Social Services or mental health field.

Annual salary range is $55,000 to $80,000 DOQ; benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement plan, paid leaves and holidays.
