Wage: $14.50-$16/hr.
Location: Canon City, CO.
Job Description:
Sonny's Ace Home Center, a Mead Lumber Company, is a leading provider of products to professional contractors, construction builders and remodelers. Custodian will be responsible for performing cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities are in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will have experience with cleaning procedures and chemicals, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal on the retail sales floor/department stations and offices.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices and outside entrance.
- Handle and dispose of cleaning chemicals safely according to established guidelines.
- Operate floor machine on the retail sales floor.
- Painting as needed.
- Keep inventory of maintenance products (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning chemicals)
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues.
- Clean windows on storefront and contractor entrance.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Provide excellent customer service and interact professionally with staff and visitors.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience in cleaning and custodial services.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures.
- Must be available for early morning shifts starting at 6 AM.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills and a team player attitude.
Wage: $14.50-$16.00 per hour depending upon experience.
