We are seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This flexible position is perfect for a dedicated and skilled professional who wants to make a difference in residents' lives while enjoying the benefits of PRN scheduling.
Position Summary:
As a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver therapy services aimed at enhancing residents’ independence and functional abilities. You will implement treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy services as outlined in the treatment plan created by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Assist residents in performing daily living activities (ADLs) and therapeutic exercises to improve their functional abilities.
- Monitor and report residents’ progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Educate residents and their families on strategies and techniques to support continued progress and independence.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and resident outcomes in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
- Adapt to the needs of the facility and provide services on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current and valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Colorado.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible PRN schedule.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation.
