ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

Project Coordination 

  • Partner with site supervisors and senior management to define material strategies, create and execute lean Just-In-Time (JIT) procurement schedules with project goals, and mitigate risks. 
  • Delegate tasks like ordering and logistics to associates to enable a greater focus on strategic planning, project success, and high-level decision-making 
  • Oversee multiple project schedules from concept through design, engineering, and construction. Driving coordination with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure milestones are met.  
  • Serve as the central communicator between design and engineering team and onsite teams, delivering actionable insights, schedule adjustments, and resource updates to stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Refining and inventing systems to automate project management stages.

Material Management 

  • Direct the creation and management of purchase orders, ensuring precision, cost-efficiency, and alignment with project specifications. 
  • Lead vendor negotiations and supplier relationships to secure optimal delivery terms and resolve discrepancies swiftly. 
  • Optimize and assist in designing inventory systems and material storage processes, implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and scalability. 

Documentation and Reporting 

  • Maintain comprehensive, high-level documentation of procurement, delivery schedules, and project performance metrics. 
  • Develop and present executive-level status reports, identifying risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations for project success. 
  • Spearhead the creation and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline material workflows and elevate team performance. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education 

  • Extensive experience, a proven work ethic, and a strong commitment to continuous learning—attributes that deliver results beyond traditional education (required). 

Experience 

  • Progressive experience in construction project coordination, logistics management, or a related leadership role (required). 
  • Demonstrated expertise in all phases of residential construction, advanced material management, or innovative construction methodologies (highly preferred). 
  • Hands-on building experience (preferred). 
  • Proven success in managing large-scale projects, multiple projects at once, and cross-functional teams (preferred). 

Skills (required) 

  • Exceptional organizational leadership, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-stakes environment. 
  • Advanced proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore, MS Project, or equivalent), ERP systems, and data analytics platforms. 
  • Experience in developing automated spreadsheets, data systems, and or/databases.  
  • Proficient in basic accounting and budgeting. 
  • Demonstratable communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders and driving consensus across teams. 
  • Strategic problem-solving capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on developing, tracking, and delivering metrics and measurable outcomes. 
  • An owner-driven approach, taking full responsibility for projects and tasks and treating the company as if it were your very own.

  • Ability to perform and oversee standard construction tasks as needed. 
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and navigate active construction sites. 
  • Resilience to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and lift 50+ lbs when required.
