Job Type: Hourly

Wage: $18-$24/hr. 

Location: Salida, CO.

Job Description:

A Construction Apprentice adds value to the team by actively engaging in post-print construction tasks, material management, site preparation, general construction labor, job site safety, and efficient completion of building projects. We provide all the tools, hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to innovative construction practices. Working closely with seasoned professionals, apprentices develop the skills necessary for practical project contributions. Collaboration within the building team is a crucial aspect of the apprentice role, and junior leadership responsibilities may be assigned as appropriate. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals eager to learn and grow. This entry-level position serves as a stepping stone for career growth within our company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) VeroTouch requires that the applicant has sufficient ability to complete the required tasks outlined in essential duties/responsibilities along with the physical means and skills outlined below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in daily set-up and clean-up
  • Support safe work environment
  • Take photos, notes and record data
  • Make edits to SOPs as needed
  • Load and unload materials and equipment
  • Follow instructions to implement construction plans
  • Assist other team members
  • Help with maintenance duties
  • Complete additional training as needed Interact professionally with customers, trade partners, and suppliers/vendors

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 1-2 years experience in construction preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of construction equipment/tools
  • Strong interest in construction and willingness to learn

Skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and construction methods
  • Communicate effectively with the team
  • Technical proficiency with email, microsoft suite, project management software etc. comfortable learning new software
  • Flexibility to evolve in a startup environment

  • Be physically able to perform standard construction tasks
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Be able to work in outside in extreme temperatures
