POSITION PURPOSE

A Concrete Finisher is responsible for the placement and finishes of concrete, including but not limited to, floor slabs, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. Finishers are required to complete work safely, with quality and within productivity specifications as directed by the foreman or superintendent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITES

  • Spreads, levels and smoothes concrete by performing all required finishes such as trowel, broom, expose and stamp.
  • Verify form work and elevations as well as facilitate placement of concrete.
  • Layout and perform all control and expansion joints.
  • Complete concrete repairs to plan specifications as needed.
  • Understand and apply curing and sealing requirements based on job specifications.
  • Participates in daily huddles and practices safety as a priority on all job sites.
  • Models The Gallegos Corporation mission and values at all times.
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years of concrete or construction experience.
  • Attention to detail with demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness.
