Wage: $26-$36/hr. 

Location: Salida, CO.

Job Description:

As a 3D Construction Printing Concrete Batch Plant Operator, you are vital in operating and maintaining our advanced mobile concrete batching plant and associated subsystems. This includes oversight of the pump, hoses, sensors, and software interfaces, contributing to producing high-quality and reliable printed concrete. You will be part of a small, multidisciplinary team working on pioneering applications to industrialize the concrete construction process. You'll master precise material mixing and crafting consistent, premium concrete according to ACI and ASTM standards under the supervision of professional engineers. As the linchpin in quality assurance, the role involves regular checks and testing, ensuring concrete-mix meets stringent specifications for structural integrity and enduring quality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) VeroTouch requires that the applicant has sufficient ability to complete the required tasks outlined in essential duties/responsibilities along with the physical means and skills outlined below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Operate and control the concrete batch plant to produce consistent and accurate mixes.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure the proper proportions of materials.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure concrete mixes meet established specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform routine tests on concrete samples to verify strength, slump, and other relevant properties.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on the batch plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of batch plant operations, including production volumes, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
  • Generate reports on batch plant performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred

Experience

  • 2 years experience in construction preferred
  • Knowledge of concrete, with a willingness to undergo additional training

Skills

  • Ability to independently operate a concrete batching plant
  • Strong problem-solving skills and quick response to operational challenges
  • Flexibility to evolve in a startup environment
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset to implement new ideas
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Technical proficiency with email, microsoft suite, project management software etc. comfortable learning new software
  • Advanced technical skills highly preferred
