Position Title: Community Engagement & Program Coordinator
Employment Type: Part-Time (Hourly, estimated at 25 hours/week), 12 month contract beginning September 2025

Annual Compensation: $40,000 (estimated part-time salary)
Reports to: Vanessa McCrann, Managing Director
Location: Fully Remote (occasional travel for events required)

Position Summary:

Startup Colorado (SUCO) is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Community Engagement & Program Coordinator to support the organization’s fast-paced programs, community engagement, events, and data operations. This critical role bridges operational support and community interaction, ensuring founders, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders experience excellent service and connection to SUCO resources.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing simultaneous projects, learning new software tools, and communicating clearly with diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support

  • Manage calendars, Zoom scheduling, and meeting logistics for SUCO programs and leadership.
  • Own and monitor the [email protected] inbox, ensuring:
    • Timely responses to inquiries.
    • Founders are connected to relevant resources or staff members.
  • Maintain and organize internal documentation, guides, and process materials.
  • Serve as the administrative point of contact for Founder Coopetition programs
  • Provide program administrative support, including:
    • Participant communications.
    • Scheduling and coordination of sessions.
    • Data collection and reporting on program activities.
    • Documentation and tracking of participant progress across the Founder Coopetition continuum.
  • Respond to help desk inquiries and technical support questions from founders and partners.
  • Manage and maintain the online resource centers with relevant materials, ensuring:
    • Ecosystem database is up to date.
    • Funding database is current and accessible. 
    • Regional Update Survey
  • Support the ongoing organization and transition of SUCO’s CRM from Airtable to newly determined CRM and LMS systems

Event Management

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of virtual and in-person events, including:
    • Inner Circle sessions
    • Pitch Practice events
    • Virtual Demos & Pitches
    • Lean Coffee & Rural Women in Entrepreneurship
    • Monthly Webinars
  • Manage and update SUCO’s statewide events calendar across platforms
    • Select events to include in SUCO’s newsletters and content calendar 
  • Support partners on their events and special projects as they are connected to SUCO
  • Support marketing with event promotions, content creation, and communications.
  • Manage event logistics such as:
    • Registrations.
    • Attendee communications and follow-ups.
    • Event data capture and reporting.
  • Support logistics and coordination for West Slope Startup Week (WSSW), including:
    • Volunteer management
    • Platform administration
    • Marketing coordination

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable learning and navigating digital tools and platforms, including:
    • Airtable.
    • BluDot.io CRM (or similar CRM tools).
    • Thinkific.
    • Mailchimp.
    • Slack, WhatsApp and other community/comms platforms
    • Zoom, Canva, and Google Suite.
  • Experience in event planning, community engagement, or administrative support preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data and support the generation of meaningful reports.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Available for occasional travel within Colorado and potential evening/weekend events.

Compensation & Benefits
