Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $18-$22/hr. 

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

The Class B Driver is primarily responsible for driving company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and assist in the unloading of the materials to the customers’ satisfaction. All loads should be checked for accuracy and paperwork should be delivered back to the store. Wage Range: $18.00 - $20.00 depending on experience.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delivery:

• Load the trucks according to the list of materials on the sales invoice.
• Check accuracy of loads and verify each load prior to leaving the yard.
• Strap and secure each load.
• Safely drive vehicles and machinery ensuring to obey all traffic laws.
• Wear a seatbelt when operating a company vehicle or machinery.
• Follow yard loading, yard delivery, and yard security procedures.
• Complete deliveries in a timely manner.
• Comply with all DOT regulations.

Service & Repairs:

• Maintain inspection of each vehicle or set of machinery you drive to ensure safe driving conditions.
• Complete basic repairs and maintain a safe and clean vehicle and work environment.
• Schedule truck service and repairs as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class B CDL Driver’s License required.
• Must be able to drive manual transmission.
• Forklift operator’s license preferred.
• One to three or more years of CDL driving experience is desired.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Ability to analyze technical problems, determine root causes and develop remediation strategies for permanent resolutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, making clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Must be able to pass the federal medical test requirement.

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
