The Town of Buena Vista (pop. 3,000) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Civil Engineer. Located in the Upper Arkansas River Valley in the central mountains of Colorado, Buena Vista is known for its recreational amenities, beautiful views, historic character, and working-class roots. As the Town continues to see steady growth, the Civil Engineer is key to ensuring development and public infrastructure is adequately designed and installed. The Civil Engineer will perform development reviews of town infrastructure, residential, and commercial development projects. Other roles and responsibilities include performing a variety of technical reviews and engineering tasks related to streets, transportation, storm water drainage and water issues. This person will also serve as project manager for assigned Town projects.

Starting Salary Range: $82,000 - $97,000 annually plus benefits

Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil engineering required. License or Certificates:
     - Colorado Professional Engineer certification preferred
     - CPM, CCM or equivalent project manager certification or credentials preferred
     - Must possess and maintain Colorado driver’s license
Work Experience: At least two years of increasingly responsible work in the field of civil engineering preferred. Municipal experience preferred.
