Position Summary:

The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a centralized management system in accordance with the Federal Sentencing Guidelines (FSG) requirements and the company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics. They are responsible for managing the development by a cross-functional internal team of all elements of an FSG-compliant program based on a compliance risk profile to be created by the CCO in collaboration with executive management of Pax8. The CCO manages the ethics hotline and self-disclosures and conducts or oversees any resulting investigations. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Delivers key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics-based management reporting to Executive Compliance Committee and the Board Manages the internal team of subject matter experts (SMEs) responsible for their respective compliance areas
  • Manages the global ethics hotline and the Pax8 internal investigation program and processes
  • Develops and implements a compliance and ethics training and awareness program in collaboration with Human Resources
  • Conducts or facilitates compliance risk assessments

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least fifteen (15) to eighteen (18) years’ relevant experience as a senior compliance officer
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Excellent leadership skills demonstrated by ownership of issues through their resolution while providing sound guidance to others
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized and project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level of experience in creating presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training, executive presentations, and innovations
  • Experience influencing peers, and can maintain poise under pressure
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and independent

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Juris Doctor (JD) required from a top-tier law school
  • Current member in good standing with a State Bar

Compensation: Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $275,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
