Job Description:

Are you passionate about providing support and care to individuals and their families during challenging times? Sangre de Cristo Community Care is seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our Canon City team as a Part Time Chaplain.

The Hospice Chaplain is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services to patients, families and caregivers, either directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual counselors. Care delivery primarily takes place in the patient's home or in a facility where the patient receives care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (B.D., M.Div. or equivalent theological degree) or equivalent life experience
  • Experience working with death and dying, individuals / family / caregivers
  • Comfortable in an interfaith setting
  • Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs and values
  • Ability to network with community clergy and congregations
  • At least one year’s experience is preferred with current Hospice / Home health care experience
