Job Type: Part time, Hourly

Wage: $17/hr. 

Location: Canon City, CO.

As a CES Direct Support Professional, you’ll have the unique opportunity to support a child with developmental disabilities—while being paid to change a life. In this role, you'll support children in achieving greater independence, participating in community life, and thriving at home and beyond. You’ll be part of a dedicated team helping families navigate care while building genuine and lasting connections.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Living Support: Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, dressing, and meal prep.
  • Community Inclusion: Support the child in attending school, social activities, and other community events.
  • Health & Safety: Monitor well-being, provide basic first aid, and follow  all health-related protocols.
  • Transportation: Provide safe transportation to appointments, outings, and other activities.
  • Collaborative Care: Work with a team to implement and track individualized plans (IPs).
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily care, health observations, and  incidents.
  • Advocacy: Uphold the child’s rights, dignity, and personal goals; report concerns as a mandatory reporter.
  • Communication: Respond to emails and messages promptly; participate in team updates.
  • Training & Compliance: Complete all required training and adhere to company and state regulations.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow all emergency procedures, lifting/transferring guidelines, and safety checks.
Requirements

  

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of current auto insurance (as required by state      law)
  • Able to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle)
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
  • Ability to lift and transfer individuals and assist with physical care tasks
  • Willingness  to work in various environments (indoors/outdoors, different temperatures)
  • Comfortable assisting with all aspects of personal care and working with individuals      with diverse medical and developmental needs
