ANNUAL SALARY: Position is a salaried position with an annual wage range $31,168.00 up to $34,632.00 annually. Must complete a minimum 90 day probationary period.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include helping clients fill out required paperwork, processing forms, and making recommendations for additional service agencies. Some case aides may also perform visits and inspections at a client's home under the supervision of the primary caseworker. This position receives assignments from the DAAS Supervisor for services to be provided to clients. A Case Services Aide provides supervision and care for clients, usually at-risk adults, transporting clients to medical appointments, to visitations with family, and other community resources.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides direct service and supervision for clients in their home, transportation to and from appointments; makes referral to protective services for both children and adults when abuse or neglect is suspected when caring for clients.
Maintains contact with professionals involved in the case, such as caseworkers to coordinate services. Coordinates appointments between client and caseworker and keeps records of transportation and other services provided. Worker maintains and keeps records of all case aide activities and reports of supervised visitations to caseworkers.
Teaches, demonstrates, and provides clients with household management techniques that promote self-sufficiency, independent living and good nutrition. Position will assist clients with grocery shopping and household budgeting which promotes good nutrition and stable household financial planning. Case Aide must be able to establish positive relationships with clients, other agencies, and the public, and must be able to handle emotional and difficult situations so as to maintain adequate control and safety.
Applicants are required to do an extensive amount of driving both in-state and out of state. Position also requires computer navigational skills for daily data entry. This position requires the applicant's work schedule to be flexible or modified as required to meet job duties as assigned.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, payroll systems, human resource systems, database software, state defined case management systems.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in business, accounting, or human service related field from an accredited college or university or a degree in one of the behavioral sciences.
Two (2) years of administrative experience in an office setting.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful but not required.
Knowledge of judicial processes and execution of State department mandates.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires substantial movement with respect to repetitious standing and sitting within the office area and in the public. On occasion, may be required to lift light to moderately heavy loads.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and specified car insurance.
Must be willing to travel to rural areas of the county and out of town as needed.
Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Must be able to attend required out of town training and staff development activities.
Will be required to provide a driving history if a position is offered.
A professional and appropriate dress code is in effect for all employees of the office.
