As a DSP, you will use your creativity and people skills to support individuals living with developmental disabilities to achieve their desired goals and grow their independence.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Direct Support Professional is to ensure the health and safety of those supported. DSPs are responsible for providing support as identified in the Individual Support Plan, and for collecting data and documenting the provision of those supports. Direct Support Professionals support individuals receiving services in their homes, place of work, community support, or day habilitation site following the Individual Service Plans (ISP), subsequent protocols, and other plans. Provide training and support in areas such as self-help skills, safety skills, hygiene skills, medication skills, food/meal skills, money skills, housekeeping skills, community skills, social skills, vocational skills, safety skills, communication skills, and healthy living skills.

Hiring:
All Shifts Monday-Thursday day shifts, night shifts, overnight shifts
Friday-Saturday day shifts, night shifts, overnight shifts
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Must complete and pass all Starpoint training required for this position.
· Must clear background check, DORA check, and three valid reference checks.
· Must submit to PPD checks and Influenza Vaccination or provide a de-inclination form.
· Must be able to work non-traditional, flexible hours.
· Possess medication administration certification (QMAP), CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care training.
· Experience in working with IDD adults preferred.
· Must have own telephone or reliable message phone, to be readily reached
. · Own reliable transportation.
· Possess a valid Colorado driver's license with a good driving record.
· Possess and maintain personal auto insurance on file.
· Submit to a back screening by an agency-approved provider to determine physical ability to perform duties.
