Wage: $17.01-$24.94/hr.

Location: Florence, CO.

Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a CDL P2S Class B License or obtain when hired (the school district provides training).
  • Positive individual with neat, clean appearance; pleasant, courteous demeanor.
  • Proven work record demonstrating reliability, flexibility and initiative.
  • Ability to comply with all State, Federal, Colorado Department of Education and School District policy regulating transportation
  • Ability and demeanor to instruct and control large groups of children or special needs children while safely driving a bus.
  • Knowledge of discipline strategies preferred Have good communication skills
  • Able to pass written tests and First Aid course
  • Must pass extensive background check
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Able to pass CDOT physical including drug test

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Operate assigned school bus in compliance with procedures contained in the District’s policy and procedures, including all local, state and federal laws.
  • Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle.
  • Maintains student conduct to insure the safety of all students.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the district or the state.
  • Promote good feelings and high morale within the School District by maintaining a positive relationship with co-workers and other District employees
  • Administers first aid as necessary.
  • Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.

HOURS: Mornings and afternoons

SALARY: Wages according to the Substitute Salary Schedule
