Position Summary:

The Automation and Optimization Analyst plays a crucial role in driving process efficiency and optimization within the Vendor Product Management department. They are responsible for performing detailed analysis of data and existing workflows, identifying optimization and automation opportunities, and proposing and implementing solutions that will scale for the future. The Analyst displays expertise in root cause analysis, process optimization, and automation which contributes to streamlining operations and improving the overall efficiency of the department.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Overcomes technical obstacles and automates manual processes across the department.
  • Analyzes existing workflows, systems, and processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborates within the department and with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and user feedback, leveraging design thinking and project methodologies to drive alignment around success criteria.
  • Develops and implements optimized, automated, and scalable solutions using appropriate tools and software to provide an optimal user experience.
  • Provides training and support to end-users on utilizing tools and processes to ensure successful implementation and adoption of projects.
  • Monitors implemented solutions, ensuring they are functioning properly and delivering the desired outcomes.
  • Utilizes data analysis and feedback loops to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of projects, communicates the impact of team initiatives to department leadership and other stakeholders, and provides insights for further optimization.
  • Participates in iteration and continuous improvement activities to enhance operational efficiency and precision.
  • Assists with contributing to and maintaining documentation of departmental and cross-functional processes, workflows, and automation procedures.
  • Completes ad-hoc complex analytical and operational tasks and projects as needed.
  • Stays up to date with emerging and innovative technologies and industry trends.

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least two (2) to three (3) years of experience in product operations, data analysis, project management, or process improvement.
  • Familiarity with SQL, APIs, AI, automation software, and scripting languages a plus. (e.g., Python, Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration methodologies and tools a plus. (e.g., Wrike, Jira, Miro).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to navigate and overcome challenges in a fast-paced, consistently evolving landscape where the path forward is not always clear.

Required Education Certifications:

B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $71,000 or more depending on experience.

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
