Job Description:
This individual is to ensure that middle school and high school students have sufficient and quality options to explore extra-curricular interests that supports both social-emotional development and physical development. He or she shall provide management and oversight for all CHSAA program areas and local activities. The person will manage the scheduling of all co-curricular in school facilities or on school property. The manager oversees compliance with district policies and regulations regarding activity programs. The individual shall monitor the delivery of the activity programs of the school district to gather feedback, using the findings to take corrective actions and improvements, including recognition of success.
- Be involved and insure supervision at all CHSAA programs, including: Monthly AD meetings (league schools all attend), turn in all required forms/paperwork to CHSAA annually, assure that all coaches have their CPR/AED First Aid Certification, assure that all high school coaches have proper CHSAA Certification, and participate in all administrative training as required by state and CHSAA.
- Ensure all regulations are enforced, specifically working with the Title IX Compliance officer
- Manage each sport’s and club’s program budget.
- Provide for two-way communication with the superintendent, staff, students, parents, and community, which is proactive and responsive.
- Schedule all high school and middle school sporting events.
- Support high school principal with administrative duties and student discipline.
- Manage Athletic/Activities department budget.
- Supervise high school coaches and sponsors as well and support MS Athletic Director , including: recommendations for hiring, renewals, and non-renewals, evaluations, orientation, training and professional development.
- Collaborate with outside community groups as well as district athletics and activities facility use.
- Work in collaboration with the Transportation Dept. and coaches to assure all transportation requests are submitted in a timely fashion
