Job Description:

Trinidad State College is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee and elevate our athletic programs at Trinidad State College. As Athletic Director, you’ll shape the future of intercollegiate athletics by fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and student success. This role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and community engagement to create an outstanding experience for student athletes.

Examples of Duties


  • Lead and manage all athletic programs, ensuring compliance with NJCAA and college policies.
  •  Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies for growth and success.
  •  Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and facility management for athletic events and programs.
  • Recruit, mentor, and support coaches and staff to build strong, collaborative teams.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all athletic programs.
  •  Engage with the community, alumni, and partners to strengthen program visibility and support.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts, including social media and website content.
  •  Ensure student-athlete eligibility and academic success through proactive collaboration with campus departments.
  • Represent the college at regional and national athletic meetings and events.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in education and athletics at the secondary or post-secondary level.
  • Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics operations and compliance standards. Understand and be committed to the philosophy, purposes and goals of Trinidad State College and its administration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Successful coaching experience at the post-secondary college level

This position has been identified by the Department of Education as a Campus Security Authority. As a Campus Security Authority, the incumbent in this position is required to report crimes that they become aware of to the Vice President of Student Affairs, Dean of Students or Human Resources Department at Trinidad State College.
