ABOUT THE ROLE
The Assistant Project Coordinator will be involved with all administrative functions needed to assist Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Senior Project Manager. Will assist in scheduling, planning, forecasting and resource management of all technical activites to ensure project accuracy, timeliness, quality and cost controls are properly managed.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Attend pre-construction conferences as required, take notes, communicate and accurately log commitments, issues, and necessary actions
- Help ensure that projects are being built according to design plans and specifications
- Track material and progress quantities on a daily basis to ensure that project remains on budget and schedule
- Confirm that all project related paperwork, to include: time cards, equipment inspections, project correspondence, job cost information, notes, safety meeting rosters, human resource/employee documents, etc… are getting from the field to the office daily
- Help to verify material P.O.’s correspond to actual project needs and ensure that materials and subcontractors are scheduled in a timely manner
- Review progress billings with PM to ensure all elements of work are being billed accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in daily pre-task planning for the field employees to identify areas of potential safety hazards as well as to give the employees any technical insight as to the job at hand
- Will execute a variety of project management administrative tasks such as billing and bookkeeping in support of the project
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Required Education: Associates or 1-3 years of equivalent experience
- Field of Study Preferred: Construction Management
- Required Work Experience: 1-3 years
Additional Requirements:
- Must have strong math/analytical skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have had exposure to scheduling software such as MS Project
- Must learn to read and decipher Construction Plans and Specifications and compare them with actual construction in the field

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment (“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
