Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team in managing, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a solid understanding of financial concepts.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and account analysis.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support technical accounting functions, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to implement and maintain effective internal controls.
- Utilize accounting Quickbooks software to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting roles with a focus on general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Quickbooks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, technical accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
