Job Type: Full time, Salaried

Wage:  $42,106 - $52,633 ($20.24 - $25.30 per hour) 

Location: Salida, CO.

Job Description:

The Chaffee County Assessor's Office is accepting applications for a full-time Field Inspector position.

Applicant must have a valid Colorado driver's license with good driving record, be physically capable of measuring structures in all weather, taking photos, verifying, updating and maintaining account records for new construction, sales, and general reviews. Construction knowledge and good math skills are a must, with statistical knowledge, map reading and blue print reading helpful; also requires ability to distinguish colors. Applicant must also perform office work consisting of answering phones, assisting the public and using software such a Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.

This position requires flexibility and the ability to work both independently and with co-workers. Applicant must be willing to obtain an ad-valorem appraisal license within two years of the date of hire. Applicant must satisfactorily pass a background check and pre-employment range motion screening as well as a drug screening.

The annual salary range is $42,106 - $52,633 ($20.24 - $25.30 per hour) DOQ; benefits include medical, dental, vision and prescription insurances, term life insurance, retirement plan, disability, paid leaves and holidays.
