Join Our Team! – Arts & Culture Assistant

The City of Salida Arts & Culture Department is looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and community-minded Arts & Culture Assistant to help bring engaging programs, activities, and events to life for residents and visitors.

In this role, you will help support a variety of arts and cultural programs by assisting with event coordination, setting up and organizing program spaces, preparing materials, and supporting participants and instructors. You’ll interact with community members of all ages, help maintain safe and welcoming program environments, and assist with basic administrative tasks that keep programs running smoothly. From helping with creative activities to supporting community events, this position plays an important role in delivering meaningful cultural experiences in Salida.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is dependable and energetic, and has an interest in arts, creativity, and community programming. No prior experience is required—just a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to jump in and help where needed. 

This is a part-time seasonal summer position starting in June running through July.  

Hiring range:  $18.00 - $24.00/hour dependent on experience This position includes a free individual pool pass to the Hot Springs Aquatic Center
