Job Type: Full time, hourly

Wage: $21-$23/hr.

Location: Florence, CO.

Job Description:

The Apprentice HVAC Installer is an introductory role designed for individuals eager to begin a career in HVAC by assisting with installation work for modular homes in a production environment. The role focuses on hands-on learning under the guidance of experienced installers, supporting material handling and installation tasks, and following safety protocols. The goal following apprenticeship progression is advancement into higher-level HVAC roles and potential crew lead responsibilities based on performance and business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing HVAC systems, including ductwork, units, and basic control systems, for modular homes.
  • Support senior installers in assembling and staging HVAC components according to instructions and build sequencing.
  • Learn and apply foundational HVAC techniques, safety protocols, and industry standards under supervision.
  • Perform general labor tasks (material handling, site preparation, cleanup) to support installation projects.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Follow blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions to support accurate installations.
  • Adhere to safety standards, including consistent PPE use (gloves, safety glasses, hard hats).
  • Collaborate with production teams to meet schedules and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in commercial construction, general labor, or related fields.
  • Ability to learn HVAC installation techniques and processes on the job.
  • Basic familiarity with hand and power tools used in construction/labor roles.
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to take direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented communication and collaboration; leadership potential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EPA Section 608 certification.
  • OSHA safety training.

Work Environment / Schedule

  • Onsite at the Florence, Colorado production facility.
  • Fast-paced, hands-on environment with skill development opportunities; PPE required.
  • Full-time schedule with significant overtime opportunities.
