Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $20-$25/hr.

Location: Florence, CO.

Job Description:

The Apprentice Howick Operator is an introductory role focused on learning the fundamentals of operating Howick steel framing machines in a modular home and steel supply production environment. Under close supervision, the Apprentice assists senior operators, develops foundational machine setup and operation skills, and builds basic blueprint/technical drawing literacy while maintaining strict safety compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist senior operators with setup and operation of Howick steel framing machines.
  • Learn basic machine operations, including loading materials and monitoring production processes.
  • Develop basic skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Support routine maintenance and cleaning to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Follow safety protocols and company standards; use PPE as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to learn production processes and support daily goals.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation.
  • Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions; attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with machinery or manufacturing environments.
  • Coursework in mechanical technology or related fields.
  • OSHA-approved forklift certification.
Work Environment / Schedule
  • Onsite at Mytikas Industries’s production facility in Florence, Colorado.
  • Fast-paced, collaborative environment with hands-on training and mentorship; PPE required.
  • Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (40 hours total).
