Job Description

Job Type: Part time, Hourly

Wage: $800/hr.

Location: Trinidad, CO.

Job Description:

The Trinidad State College seeks a highly motivated, dynamic individual to teach in a variety of courses in a growing Technical Theatre program.  This is a part-time adjunct position beginning Spring Semester 2025.  Pay is based on number of credit hours per semester.

Examples of Duties

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach 6-12 credit hours per semester in Technical Theatre courses
  • Actively support students through advisement, mentoring, and student work-study related activities both on campus and off campus 
  • Actively contribute to campus, program functions and services, including recruitment, committees, assessment, curriculum development, and continuous improvement activities for the Technical Theatre program 
  • Pursue and maintain partnership activities related to the business industry including the establishment and maintenance of articulation agreements with other academic institutions
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • For GT Courses: Master’s Degree in Theatre
  • For CTE Technical Theater Courses: Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts, Technical Theatre, Drama,  OR 5+ years on non-teaching experience in theatre industry-specifically in the areas of production, directing, stage management, sound and lighting technology, and construction and design
  • Familiarity with state and national associations in Theatre and Technical Theater
  • Experience with instructional technology (Internet, instructional software, D2L, etc.)
  • Ability to teach in traditional and non-traditional formats and settings
