Are you a detail-driven professional with a passion for accurate financial processes? Our Accounting Department is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the receipt, recording, processing, and payment of invoices for materials and services provided across all locations.

What You’ll Do:

• Handle full-cycle accounts payable functions, including receipt, recording, processing, and payment of invoices
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standards and GAAP
• Work closely with the Senior Accountant to support seamless month-end and year-end cutoffs
• Stay informed about organizational changes to maintain optimal efficiency in invoice processing
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline accounts payable operations

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in accounts payable or accounting roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of one year experience in general accounting and/or accounts payable preferably in a healthcare facility.
• Associates degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

We’re seeking a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to manage all accounts payable functions.  If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail, this is the role for you!

Essential Duties:

• Invoice Management: Receive and verify invoices for all services and materials supplied to the medical center.
• Contract Review: Ensure contractual agreements are aligned with invoice amounts, rates, and terms.
• Recurring Payments: Establish and maintain recurring payment processes for amounts not invoiced.
• General Ledger Coding: Accurately code invoices for general ledger entries.
• Authorization Routing: Route invoices for approval to appropriate department managers or executives.
• Invoice Entry: Accurately enter approved invoices into the accounts payable system to maximize discounts.
• Check Runs: Prepare check runs, obtain sign-offs on check registers, and ensure timely mailing of checks.
• Vendor Management: Maintain and update vendor files, ensuring all changes are documented.
• Month-End Close: Ensure month-end closing is completed on time with necessary reports.
• W9  for Vendors and IRS 1099 Forms as needed
