Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $16.38-$21.09/hr. 

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

The Accounting Specialist/Receptionist will support the accounting staff by performing basic accounting duties as assigned. This may include preparing deposits, processing payments, creating financial reports, and, maintaining financial databases and spreadsheets. The Receptionist Accounting Assistant will also assist the administrative and accounting staff with clerical duties. They will answer phones, greet customers, file paperwork, perform data entry, scan documents, receive and sort mail, and any other tasks that contribute to the function of the Administrative Building.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answering multi-line phone system.
  • Greeting the general public, staff, and those we serve.
  • Open/close office.
  • Prepare certified mail/express mail forms as requested.
  • Keep master form files organized and form cabinet supplied.
  • Keep conference and meeting rooms’ reservation calendar up to date and post daily.
  • Distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Perform other clerical duties as needed including, but not limited to, scanning, copying, filing, etc.
  • Special projects, as assigned.
  • Post cash receipts to accounting software.
  • Manage contracts database/files.
  • Manage vendor files.
  • Process insurance-related tasks (vehicle registration requests, etc.)
  • Complete consumer account reconciliations
  • Manage Accounting Department documents and filing.
  • Ordering office supplies for the Administration Building.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least one year of general office experience or post-secondary education.
  • Colorado driver's license and certificate of personal auto insurance on file.
  • Must have personal transportation.
