Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the 166-day Teacher Salary Schedule and based on education and experience. Salary Range $42,254-$73,523

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- Valid Colorado Teaching License, Elementary Education endorsement.
- K-3 Teacher Evidence-Based Reading Training Requirement and/or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of literacy development, instructional programs and practices, and assessment.
- Ability to employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies.
- Desire to incorporate a hands-on learning approach with traditional curriculum.
- Promote learning skills of critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
- Ability to create a positive learning environment for elementary-aged children.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work with classroom teachers to facilitate/coordinate the scheduling of classes and conferences with parents.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to provide assessments and intervention for students with identified literacy concerns.
- Preferred experience with DIBELS assessment and progress monitoring.
- Preferred experience with ENRICH.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students, and the public.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of student developmental stages.
- Ability to communicate with multiple publics.
- Resilience and flexibility in the face of change.
- Ability to read and write to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
- Possess skills to be able to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively.
- Understanding and ability to apply the district's core beliefs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teachers are held to high expectations for their performance to ensure the success of the individual and the District in serving students and the community. Teachers are held to the District’s Licensed Personnel Performance Evaluation System, which consists of the State’s Quality Standards, elements, and performance indicators that point to fulfillment of the teaching responsibility. A teacher’s demonstrated effectiveness is based on the following standards:
