Schedule: PRN- Per policy PRN requires a min of six shifts within a six week scheduling period. two holidays per year- 8-10hr shifts as needed Call: No call required. Optional call shifts if available 20min call back radius required if taking call.

Unit life: Cases /day- 15+ on average. 8 PACU Bays, 5OR Suites, GI Rooms, 10 SDS beds. Mix of surgical, Endo and infusion patients.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact, Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. - Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's
- BLS from the American Heart Association required
- One year experience preferred
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
- Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

The Surgery department at St. Thomas More Hospital has ten SDS (Same Day Surgery) beds, seven PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) beds, five Infusion Center rooms, two GI lab rooms and five OR suites. Our patient mix is surgical, endoscopy and infusion. Our department is made up of a dedicated team with excellent relationships between the associates and the surgeons. We are proud of our excellent surgical outcomes.
