Project Surveyor

3 Rocks Engineering and Surveying is a leading firm in the field of land surveying and engineering, committed to delivering high-quality services to our clients. Our team is dedicated to excellence, innovation, and professional growth. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in managing survey projects, interacting with clients, preparing proposals, lining out field crews, and independently completing research. You will ensure field crews and drafters maintain high standards of precision and efficiency and uphold our commitment to excellence and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Competent in using conventional survey equipment and GPS equipment in the

collection of data in the field.

  • Lining out field crews and keeping crew schedule updated.

  • Responsible for preparing proposals under the direction of the Team Lead

  • Communicate with clients on schedules and progress.

  • Records research, analyze deeds, title commitments, survey maps and plats,

perform necessary calculations, find monumentation and physical evidence
required in the retracement and resolution of property lines.

  • Ensure field data is accurately collected and transferred to the office database.

  • Managing field data with the ability to perform reduction of survey data and draft the required deliverables using Civil 3D or Carlson Survey.

  • Manage day-to-day land surveying projects including: Client Communication (internal and external)

  • Project Proposal Preparation

  • Management of multiple survey projects and survey tasks in projects led

by other teams.

  • Quality Control checks on survey tasks

  • Oversight and delegation of tasks to Survey Technicians

 

GOTTA HAVE IT

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Land Surveying experience (including education in

surveying field) as a Party Chief and/or Survey Office Technician.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 

 

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

  • CST Technician (preferred).

  • Land Survey Intern (LSI) (preferred).

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation: $25.00 To $40.00 Hourly, (Compensation will be dependent upon
experience).
