Wage: $13.87-$17.34/hr. 

Location: Canon City, CO.

What is an Optical Associate?

  • Assists patients and customers in the selection, measurement and fitting of eyewear that best suits all of their visual and fashion needs.
  • Learn how to read prescriptions, make recommendations on lenses based on their lifestyle and needs
  • Bill insurances, collect payments and process optical orders
  • Learn from peers and department supervisors to eventually become an ABO Certified Optician

To be successful you must be:

  • Customer service oriented patient focused
  • Able to work well with people and be practice patience
  • Comfortable with performing basic math in whole numbers, fractions and decimals
  • Have an eye for detail and fashion
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good with your hands and handling small instruments
  • Eager to learn
