POSITION SUMMARY |

The EMT-Paramedic position is responsible for providing pre-hospital emergency medical care and ambulance transportation of persons who are ill or injured as authorized and directed by a physician. This position is responsible for the operation, general maintenance, and maintaining the operational readiness of emergency medical response vehicles. This position is additionally responsible for providing appropriate medical care within St. Vincent Health Emergency Department to emergency room patients as directed by the emergency department team. This care is provided in accordance with accepted medical standards of care, medical protocols, training, and is under the direction of physicians working within St. Vincent Health Emergency Department. Must be at least 21 years old to apply. |
