Wage: $33.65-$48.08/hr. 

Location: Buena Vista, CO.

Job Description

The Factory Lean Leader will support production and Lean activities as needed to improve processes and eliminate waste across the entire factory. The focus of responsibilities may shift depending on the needs of the business at a given time. Duties include leading Lean projects in the finish portion of the production line, assisting with Lean projects in the rough-in portion of the production line, driving a Lean/continuous improvement culture across the factory, assisting in production, analyzing processes across the organization, determining areas of improvement, implementing process improvements, ensuring improvements sustain, communicating effectively, creating documentation, and assisting in Lean training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a primary Lean presence and liaison on the factory floor helping to implement a Lean culture in the factory
  • Lead and facilitate kaizen activity across the factory
  • Support the needs of production and Lean initiatives and take on special projects when assigned
  • Focus improvement efforts on Safety, Quality and Velocity by implementing Lean tools and techniques
  • Determine production needs and work with other supporting staff to implement changes and improvements, focusing on the bottleneck areas
  • Create best-practice Lean standards across the factory for tool storage and task specific tools, equipment, jigs, and fixtures
  • Document processes and procedures where needed
  • Assist with training and cross-training individuals on new procedures and Lean tools and techniques
  • Reduce waste and address production issues to keep the installation line running smoothly
  • Evaluate data to implement improvements in production and supporting processes
  • Support daily operations of the modular home factory
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 Years of Lean implementation experience in operations and manufacturing
  • Ability to lead and support kaizen activity
  • Very detailed oriented.
  • Experience utilizing Lean tools to drive process improvement.
  • Ability to work hands on and create tools, jigs and fixtures.
  • Ability to communicate with and work with all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Data analytics skills and experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organizational, planning, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously

REQUIREMENTS

  • In-Person (this position cannot be performed remotely)
  • This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement, intellectual property rights agreement, and non-compete and non-disclosure agreement
  • Background check results that meet Fading West’s standards
  • Reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant
  • May be required to regularly stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Must be competent and comfortable in basic computer skills and navigating modern technology

COMPENSATION

Hourly or Rate Range: $33.65 to $48.08 per/hour (Rate commensurate with experience) Fading West rigorously adheres to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-201(1)
