ABOUT THE ROLE
To coordinate receipt of all raw materials, shipping of all produced products and work with plant operations
personnel to coordinate grinding schedule.

- Ensure effective utilization of equipment and people, including maintenance, troubleshooting and building housekeeping.
- Ensure employees have the knowledge, information and tools to perform their job safely.
- Ensure that all equipment operates within environmental compliance.
- Provide two-way communication within and between plant and distribution
- Participate in developing the capital and operating budgets in order to continuously improve the efficiency of the shipping and raw materials receiving.
- Provide leadership to department employees by directing, coaching, supporting and delegating as the situation requires.
- Work closely with plant operations personnel to ensure that grinding schedules will meet shipping requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee cement transfers to ensure that sufficient product is available for shipment to customers at all times.
- Coordinate and oversee all cement shipping (truck, rail and barge) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Work with purchasing department to coordinate and oversee all raw material and fuel deliveries within the constraints of the plants storage capacity and permit restrictions to ensure sufficient raw materials and fuels are available at all times.
- Work with Distribution and Plant to develop and assess budget and forecast requirements.
- Attend plant operations meetings and marketing & manufacturing meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent experience years of equivalent experience.
Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree
Required Work Experience: 5-10 Years of experience in logistics, warehouse & distribution related
activities, including knowledge of rail and motor carrier transportation and knowledge of plant production activities.
Required Computer and Software Skills: SAP experience, Computer skills, including Excel, Word, Project, etc.
Travel Requirements: 5%

- Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
