Please be aware that this role will primarily be working in Salida, CO. Typically, our crews will arrive at the hotel (which we pay for) Sunday night, work long days Monday - Thursday, and then will head back home after work on Thursday. Not only will we pay for your mileage, but we will also pay you up to $50 per diem (which is un-taxed) for each night that you are staying at the hotel! If you live within 60 miles of Salida, CO, you are able to go home each night.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have a wide range of Trimmer openings, whether you have worked in the industry already, or if you're looking to learn the ins and outs of tree felling/climbing!

A Tree Trimmer C learns a higher level of tree felling techniques, climbing, pruning, herbicide application, and mowing techniques along with introduction to advanced vegetation management. At this position, one gains a basic understanding of the tree work performed and the equipment used. Learn how to safely climb trees and operate cool heavy equipment. We have one of the most heavy-mechanized fleets in the industry and we want to teach YOU how to operate our cool equipment.

For an experienced Tree Trimmer B position, one performs the duties of a Trimmer C and has thorough knowledge of all the skills involved in climbing trees around energized lines. Must be capable of performing all types of maintenance work in a tree other than the most difficult tasks . This is a mid-level experienced climber or trimmer. May be a climber on a conventional crew or a bucket crew. Shall be capable of doing the majority of work required aloft, other than the most difficult tree removals or overhang removal.

A Trimmer A (TA) is a top climber or top trimmer who have proven through previous performance in lower level positions that they are capable of performing any and all tasks involving climbing techniques, rigging involved in pruning and removal and innovations needed to safely and effectively do any type of removals an pruning operations. Trimmer A may or may not be proficient in the operation of aerial lifts.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliable transportation;
  • authorization to work for any employer in U.S.;
  • be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability and willingness to complete manual tree work including climbing and operate heavy machinery.
  • For Trimmer A or B, at least 1 year of tree felling / tree climbing experience For Trimmer C, at least 6 months of experience working outdoors (tree work, landscaping, construction, etc.)
  • Ability to pass a urine drug screen and physical.
