We are searching for a dynamic individual to become the Behavioral Health Clinician for our Southern Colorado location.
SUMMARY:
Provides co-occurring counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The candidate will provide one-on-one virtual counseling/therapy sessions using different techniques and collaborate with wellness and medical providers.
All positions require pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Conducts co-occurring patient assessments. Places patients into appropriate levels of care.
Conducts group, family, and individual counseling sessions. May conduct psycho-educational and family groups.
Works with co-occurring patients to develop and update treatment plans and goals.
Monitors patient behaviors and progress. Incorporates behavior modification and stress management therapy to assist patients in controlling substance use and other problems.
Administers and analyzes patient testing instruments and reviews results of tests to evaluate patient needs.
Provides patients with therapeutic projects, recreational therapy, or other activities.
Assures that all documentation is complete by established deadlines. Maintains patient records according to licensing regulations. Regularly reports clinical status to unit supervisor.
Participates in staffing patients with the appropriate team and communicates with community referral sources, including but not limited to probation, parole, and DSS.
Crisis intervention and arranging for hospitalization as needed.
Coordinates and refers to supportive services in the community to supplement treatment and counseling. Assist patients in obtaining services to become self-sufficient and prevent relapse promptly.
May be required to assist in urine/breath testing and monitoring.
You may be required to travel to outlying sites to train and treat patients.
May maintain an OTP caseload and conduct annual updates: CCARs, DACOD,
